Samsung is a South Korean multinational company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. It was founded by Lee Byung-chul in 1938. In Korean, the word Samsung means “three stars.” The name was chosen by Samsung founder Lee Byung-chul whose vision was for his company to become powerful and everlasting like stars in the sky. Samsung specializes in the production of a wide variety of consumer and industry electronics, including appliances, digital media devices, semiconductors, memory chips, and integrated systems.
